Summary: The Senior Cloud Engineer role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing Azure infrastructure while ensuring compliance with best practices. The position requires extensive knowledge of Azure frameworks and experience with cloud migration projects. The engineer will collaborate with architecture and security teams and automate infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring one day a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure best practices and frameworks (ESSENTIAL)
- Expert in Cloud Adoption Framework/Landing Zones (ESSENTIAL)
- Design, deploy, and optimise Azure infrastructure
- Collaborate with Architecture & Security teams to ensure compliance and best practices
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform & CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues efficiently
- Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in implementing and supporting Azure-based infrastructure solutions
- Azure design experience
- Extensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure best practices and frameworks (ESSENTIAL)
- Expert in Cloud Adoption Framework/Landing Zones (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience with cloud migration projects, specifically transitioning from on-premises to Azure environments
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure AD, Networking, Security)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform, ARM templates
- Experience in cloud migrations and automation
- Knowledge of networking technologies and security best practices
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
