We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join us in developing a new hospital for Airedale.

Following the 2025 ministerial announcement, Airedale General Hospital has been confirmed as part of the first priority phase of the Government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP), recognising the urgent structural challenges posed by RAAC across the estate. This prioritisation ensures Airedale is among the first wave of hospitals to benefit from the Government’s commitment to modernising NHS infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a major hospital transformation. The role is part of the Securing the Future Programme team, based at Airedale General Hospital, with flexible and agile working options. Some off-site travel may be required to support local events and activities.

Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager shall be actively responsible for establishing, maintaining and the management of effective engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders and specifically maintaining effective communications and relationships with Clinical teams (including those directly and indirectly affected by the Securing the Future Programme) and other senior leaders across the organisation. This will be to support the implementation of effective and timely design management processes, the establishment of new business practices and in supporting the transitioning to new facilities.

The Senior Project Manager must be able to maintain working relationships with all disciplines of staff across the Trust. Problem solving, facilitation, negotiation and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
