Responsibilities
- Produce civil and structural analysis models, calculations, reports and sketches.
- Provide technical guidance and control engineering outputs.
- Develop practical and buildable design solutions.
- Interface closely with construction teams and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure work complies with current UK regulations, design codes and procedures.
- Deliver work to programme and budget.
- Identify change and support appropriate commercial recovery.
- Develop value-engineering solutions.
- Communicate confidently with project stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
- Substantial UK water-sector design experience.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steelwork and associated detailing.
- Strong steelwork-connection design or reinforced-concrete detailing experience.
- Working knowledge of UK health, safety, environmental and engineering requirements.
- Experience supporting projects through design and construction.
- Strong written, technical and stakeholder communication skills.
