Senior Civil Engineer

Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight, promoting high standards of quality, safety and professional excellence for the delivery of complex site development and infrastructure projects - noted as Responsible Engineer (RE) for Sellafield programmes
  • Support successful project delivery through effective planning, resource management and commercial awareness
  • Act as a line manager, supporting performance, wellbeing, and career development of junior members, through coaching and mentoring
  • Provide day to day support within the Whitehaven office, helping to foster an inclusive, collaborative, engaging and high-performing culture
  • Collaborate with other North offices to support, project delivery, and capability growth and link with the senior leadership group, contributing to resourcing, and performance discussions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor

Key Criteria

  • Experience in site development and civil infrastructure design and delivery undertaking key roles, within complex or regulated environments.
  • Experience leading, coaching or supporting project teams, contributing to technical capability within a team or organisation and ultimately deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience working in client facing and construction environments, with an ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams or office locations.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support project and business performance.
