Senior Civil Engineer - Manchester

I'm working with a well-established, growing civil and structural engineering consultancy in Manchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen their infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer who enjoys delivering practical, buildable infrastructure design and wants to take ownership of projects while developing toward Principal level.

The Role

You'll play a key role in delivering civil infrastructure design across a varied portfolio of developments including residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use schemes. The position is heavily civils-focused and will involve:

  • Detailed design of drainage systems (SuDS, Section 104, 106, 185)
  • Highway design (Section 38, Section 278 agreements)
  • External levels strategy and earthworks design
  • Flood risk assessments and drainage strategies
  • Liaison with local authorities, water authorities and statutory bodies
  • Technical approval processes and detailed design packages
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technicians
  • Attending design meetings and supporting project delivery from concept through to construction

You'll be trusted to manage your own projects while collaborating closely with structural and architectural teams.
