Summary: The role of Senior Civil Engineer at Airswift involves delivering high-quality civil engineering services for a carbon capture project transitioning from FEED to EPC stage. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality civil engineering services on time and within budget.
  • Initiate, manage, and supervise civil engineering project requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow checking procedures.
  • Ensure project scope clarity and compliance with change management processes.
  • Provide assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Act as the civil engineering Lead on specific projects if required.
  • Outline project requirements and promote workshare within the team.
  • Resolve discrepancies between client and customer requirements.
  • Stay updated with developments and innovations in civil engineering.
  • Assist and support junior personnel within the civil engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with team and project stakeholders.
  • Identify issues, develop solutions, and seek assistance when needed.

Key Skills:

  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills.
  • Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals, including underground facilities, roads, pavements, and earthworks.
  • Familiarity with local (UK) and international standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering-specific software and MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in civil engineering, particularly in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Recognised and relevant Civil engineering degree.
  • Preferred: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
  • Preferred: Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, or project management.
