Summary: The Senior Chemical Process Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in the UK, primarily on-site, with potential for hybrid working after an initial period. The engineer will contribute to the transformation and optimization of industrial assets and support the design and implementation of new systems across two operational sites. This position requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality process engineering solutions in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review process engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balance calculations, datasheets, specifications, schedules, etc.)
- Participate in safety and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and client requirements
- Engage with vendors and evaluate technical proposals
- Support utility system design and plant layout planning
- Liaise professionally with stakeholders and represent the client with discretion
Key Skills:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Proven experience in the Life Sciences sector, particularly pharmaceutical facilities
- Strong background in detailed design and refurbishment of process plants
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary design teams
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
