We are supporting a leading private equity investor in its search for a senior interim professional to lead the execution of a separation within one of its digital consumer portfolio companies.
The business is already largely standalone, with selected G&A functions still centralised.
The separation plan has been developed and execution is underway.
We are therefore looking for someone who has led this type of carve-out or separation before in a PE-backed environment and can step in immediately to drive execution.
The engagement is expected to run until December, initially around three days per week, increasing to approximately full-time during the final execution phase.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution of the existing separation plan across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate management, the PE sponsor, functional leads, advisers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies, risks, actions, and timelines across IT, HR, procurement, finance, vendors, and other operational areas.
- Hold workstream owners accountable and drive outstanding items through to completion.
- Provide clear updates directly to the CFO, CEO, and sponsor.
- Support the transaction process by explaining separation progress and plans to potential acquirers.
Requirements
- Direct prior experience leading a carve-out or separation in a PE-backed portfolio company.
- Strong hands-on programme management experience across multiple workstreams.
- Experience working directly with private equity sponsors and senior management.
- Ability to take ownership of an existing plan and drive execution from day one.
- Experience supporting separations in preparation for a transaction or exit.
- Experience within software, digital, technology, or comparable businesses.
- Professional fluency in English.
Please note: This is not a general transformation or IT separation role.
The client is specifically looking for someone who has done this before in a PE-backed environment and can pick up and go.
