Senior Care Assistant Care and Support - Aspen Court Care Home Contract: Full Time and Part- Time Salary: 13.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Days & Nights Available Contracted hours: Aspen Court Nursing & Dementia Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built home in the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, offering high-quality Dementia and Nursing care for up to 42 residents. As Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key role in leading our care team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care, and creating a warm, supportive environment. You’ll coordinate shifts, lead by example, and be responsible for the performance of your team during each shift. Your leadership will help us maintain a caring, efficient, and positive atmosphere in our home. What we offer: 13.21 per hour Contracted to full time & part time hours - days & nights - alternate weekends Pension Onsite Parking Paid DBS Uniform Provided 5.6 Weeks Annual Leave (Based on a full-time contract) What You’ll Do: Lead and Coordinate: Ensure all staff contribute to the smooth running of the home and create the right atmosphere. Resident Support: Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility, always prioritizing their dignity and independence. Medication Management: Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication, maintaining accurate records. Effective Communication: Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure clear, compassionate communication. Team Collaboration: Foster a team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment for all staff. Visitor Interaction: Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home’s facilities. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call bells, assess situations, and provide or call for assistance as needed. Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning, taking responsibility for your own growth and development. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. We also welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants actively working towards their Level 3. Medication Training: Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
