Job Description
- CAD Designer to support an automotive supplier on vehicle packaging and cooling hose routing activities.
- Creating, modifying and releasing CAD data to support the re-routing of cooling hoses and associated components in order to resolve packaging constraints within the vehicle environment.
- This role would suit a CAD Designer with prior experience of cooling hoses, fluid routing, under-bonnet packaging or similar automotive systems, combined with strong CATIA V5 and TCE experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support re-routing of cooling hoses to resolve vehicle packaging issues, clash conditions and installation constraints.
- Review package space, clearances, bend radii, fixation points and assembly feasibility for hose routing solutions.
- Update CAD data in line with engineering change requirements and programme timing.
- Use TCE to manage CAD data, revisions, releases and associated design information.
- Support design reviews, packaging reviews and issue resolution meetings with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
- Ensure all design work meets relevant customer, engineering and data management standards.
- Produce or support 2D drawings, layouts and design documentation where required.
