Summary: The role is for a Senior C#/SQL/Azure Developer to work on a greenfield project for a top-tier commodities trading firm in Central London. The position offers a long-term contract with a daily rate of £700 and requires a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days a week in the office. The developer will be responsible for replacing in-house market platforms with a SaaS market data system, necessitating strong technical skills in Microsoft technologies and Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a SaaS market data system to replace existing in-house platforms.
- Utilize strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge, particularly in API development.
- Engage in containerized application development and deployment.
- Work within Microsoft Azure and manage relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Adhere to good development practices including test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging, and monitoring.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Microsoft C#.net and commercial .net development.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and containerized application development.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with market data systems and data add-ins for Excel.
- Experience with automated continuous integration pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

My client is a top tier commodities (power and gas) trading firm based in central London. They are looking for a Strong C#/ SQL/ Azure Developer to come on board on a long term contract paying £700/ Day Inside IR35. They are replacing 2 inhouse commodities market platforms with one off the shelf SaaS market data system. This is a greenfield project.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working with all of Strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge (especially in API development) with commercial .net development experience
- Containerized application development and deployment
- Working in Microsoft Azure
- Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Good development practices such as test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging and monitoring.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in market data systems (prices and forward curves)
- Experience working with data add-ins for excel
- Automated continuous integration pipelines including automated deployment
- Agile development (Scrum preferred)
- Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management (TFS GIT)
- Authentication/OAUTH2
- Some web frontend experience
