Summary: The role is for a Senior C#/SQL/Azure Developer to work on a greenfield project for a top-tier commodities trading firm in Central London. The position involves replacing in-house market platforms with a SaaS market data system and requires strong expertise in Microsoft technologies. The contract is long-term, with a daily rate of £700 and is classified as inside IR35. The working arrangement is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy containerized applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Work on API development using C# and .NET.
- Replace existing commodities market platforms with a new SaaS solution.
- Implement good development practices including test automation and SOLID principles.
- Collaborate within a multi-faceted team environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft C#.NET, especially in API development.
- Experience with containerized application development and deployment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure and relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, preferably Scrum.
- Experience with Azure Dev-Ops for CI/CD processes.

My client is a top tier commodities (power and gas) trading firm based in central London. They are looking for a Strong C#/ SQL/ Azure Developer to come on board on a long term contract paying £700/ Day Inside IR35. They are replacing 2 inhouse commodities market platforms with one off the shelf SaaS market data system. This is a greenfield project.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working with all of Strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge (especially in API development) with commercial .net development experience
- Containerized application development and deployment
- Working in Microsoft Azure
- Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Good development practices such as test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging and monitoring.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in market data systems (prices and forward curves)
- Experience working with data add-ins for excel
- Automated continuous integration pipelines including automated deployment
- Agile development (Scrum preferred)
- Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management (TFS GIT)
- Authentication/OAUTH2
- Some web frontend experience
