Summary: Senior C Software Engineer needed for a 12 to 18 month contract focused on developing an edge processing solution for fiber optic sensors. The role requires expertise in server-side C applications, databases, and interfacing with front-end systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop edge processing solutions for fiber optic sensors.
- Interface server-side C applications with front-end systems and Python modules.
- Contribute to system architecture, code optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively within a small development team.
- Participate in meetings as required, ideally in Elstree.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of modern C (C17).
- Experience with Python/Matlab and data signal processing.
- Understanding of service architectures, REST APIs, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with version control (Git), bug tracking, and test frameworks.
- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies (JavaScript, Svelte, TypeScript, Angular).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in agile methodologies.
