Summary: The Senior C# Developer role involves working with a leading banking client in London on a critical, high-volume transactional system. The position requires contributions to the re-architecture and modernization of the platform while delivering high-quality code and system designs. The role operates in a hybrid working model, requiring two days a week on-site. This position is classified as inside IR35 due to the use of an umbrella company for employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivers high quality code and system designs for the FX Deal Capture Platform
- Contributes to the re-architecture of the platform to meet business growth ambitions
- Analysis of business and technical requirements
- Liaise with stakeholders, team members and other domain experts to capture and elaborate business requirements across domains/systems
- Accurate reporting to management regarding development initiatives and progress
- Follow-up on production issues
- Deliver high quality software, ensuring that the systems are designed for performance and reliability in production
Key Skills:
- Degree level qualification (ideally in Computing or Engineering)
- Excellent Software Engineering skills
- Strong programming background with a particular emphasis on C#, .NET Core
- Additional knowledge of C++ would be beneficial
- Domain expertise in a volume transactional system (FX, Equities or other financial transactions)
- Experience of working with a range of business and IT stakeholders
- Experience of working with offshore development teams
- Experience of business-critical system development, testing and support
- Experience and knowledge of Webservices, JavaScript, XML, FTML, Database - Oracle/SQL, IBM MQ
