Summary: The role of Senior C#/Azure Developer focuses on integrating commodities market data within a greenfield project for a top-tier trading firm in Central London. The position requires strong expertise in C# and Azure, with responsibilities including the development and deployment of a new SaaS market data system. This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering a competitive daily rate. The working arrangement is hybrid, requiring presence in the office two to three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy a new SaaS market data system to replace existing in-house platforms.
- Utilize strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge, particularly in API development.
- Engage in containerized application development and deployment within Microsoft Azure.
- Implement good development practices including test automation, IOC, and SOLID principles.
- Collaborate within a multi-faceted team environment to solve complex problems.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Microsoft C#.net and commercial .net development.
- Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience in market data systems and data add-ins for Excel.
- Familiarity with automated continuous integration pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Azure Dev-Ops for continuous integration and source code management.

My client is a top tier commodities (power and gas) trading firm based in central London. They are looking for a Strong C#/ Azure Developer to come on board on a long term contract paying £700/ Day Inside IR35. They are replacing 2 inhouse commodities market platforms with one off the shelf SaaS market data system. This is a greenfield project.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working with all of Strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge (especially in API development) with commercial .net development experience
- Containerized application development and deployment
- Working in Microsoft Azure
- Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Good development practices such as test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging and monitoring.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in market data systems (prices and forward curves)
- Experience working with data add-ins for excel
- Automated continuous integration pipelines including automated deployment
- Agile development (Scrum preferred)
- Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management (TFS GIT)
- Authentication/OAUTH2
- Some web frontend experience
