Summary: As a Senior Buyer at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the Software category strategy, focusing on enhancing value through process improvements and effective demand management. Your responsibilities will include stakeholder engagement and building procurement plans that align with business needs. This position requires strong data analysis skills and the ability to manage complex relationships within the organization. BPSS clearance is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and delivering the Software category strategy
- Acting as a key contact for Technology Procurement, capturing and managing demand
- Engaging with stakeholders to identify and unlock value through early Procurement involvement
- Building procurement plans aligned with business needs
- Managing relationships across a complex network of internal partners
Key Skills:
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience in procurement and supply chain (MCIPS qualified or working towards is ideal)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work under pressure
