What you’ll do:
- Lead the material procurement management of assigned projects or material commodities with varying levels of complexity
- Conduct bid analysis and commercial evaluations of proposals; Coordinate technical evaluations with project clients. Use analysis in negotiations with suppliers
- Develop, issue, and manage RFPs, RFQ, RFIs, etc.
- Single point of contact (SPOC) pertaining to purchase orders within area of responsibility
- Liaise with suppliers, and other internal stakeholders (supplier qualification, engineering, project team, Legal, Risk, etc.) as required
- Bring key industry contacts and relationships for suppliers of interstate natural gas pipe, valves, fittings and other key categories
- Understand all terms and conditions of all purchase orders and work within them in all dealings with the supplier
- Ensure all relevant information is received to maintain SAP records
- Understand bill of materials and technical specifications
- Develop and execute savings opportunities, efficiencies and process improvements
- Interact with high levels of colleagues and management to routinely resolve issues which involve exceptional controversy or have the potential to affect a major business segment
- Develop and present recommendations to business leaders regarding cost drivers, supplier performance, industry trends, etc.
- Actively identify future Supply Chain needs and opportunities based on data, business unit needs and market analysis.

- Must have SAP experience within a buyer role
