Senior Buyer - Direct Commodities

Summary: The role of Senior Buyer - Direct Commodities at Rolls-Royce SMR involves developing global supply chain strategies and managing supplier relationships to enhance procurement efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver sourcing campaigns in line with business constraints (time, cost, quality).
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships throughout procurement campaigns.
• Select and manage suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
• Establish commercial frameworks for supplier operations to achieve cost competitiveness and value for money.
• Develop and implement global supplier and commodity strategies for sustainable improvements.
• Run global and strategic tenders and define Purchase to Pay (P2P) solutions.
• Responsible for relationship management and business development within assigned categories.

Key Skills:

• BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience.
• Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for cost modeling and reporting.
• Proven track record of delivering results.
• Global outlook with exposure to diverse challenges and cultures.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Experience in global category management and strategic sourcing activities.
• Knowledge of supply chain management preferred.
