Senior Business Analyst - Trading Controls

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and target-state design across Mandates, Product and Trading Supervision, ensuring that requirements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous and verifiable .
• Elicit requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews, scenario analysis, process reviews, use cases and workflow analysis.
• Define desk and individual trading mandate responsibilities, authorities and controls, with clear lineage to business strategy and risk appetite.
• Support remediation of desk and individual mandates and define interim and target mandate operating models and strategic requirements.
• Develop the Product Taxonomy framework, including product definitions, hierarchy, attributes, governance and change processes.
• Support implementation of the New Product Policy and define Product Governance and Approved Product List ownership, lifecycle controls and operating models.
• Define the requirements for a governed, central Approved Product List and associated product data, workflow, control and technology capabilities.
• Develop the Trading Supervision Policy, controls catalogue and interim and target operating models, including responsibilities, standards, management information, escalation and evidence requirements.
• Assess and prioritise preventative, Real Time and near Real Time control improvements, including the transition roadmap for same-day monitoring.
• Define and embed a consistent risk and control escalation framework and align Trading Controls with the wider Risk Management Framework.
• Produce business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, data definitions, test scenarios, training materials and implementation plans.
• Work with Architecture, Technology and business stakeholders to validate solutions and integrate mandate, product and supervision requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and governance reviews to agree scope, ownership, dependencies, delivery sequencing, acceptance criteria and sign-off.
• Manage requirements change, risks, issues and delivery dependencies, escalating material impacts to scope, cost, resources, time or quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Business analysis or change delivery experience within financial markets, trading controls, risk or regulatory remediation.
• Knowledge of trading mandates, product governance, Product Taxonomy, Approved Product Lists or trading supervision.
• Experience developing policies, operating models, control frameworks, requirements, test scenarios and implementation plans.
• Understanding of front-to-back trading processes and the relationship between authorities, product data, permissions, controls, risk reporting and supervisory oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, analytical and written communication skills.
• Experience maintaining traceability from findings and requirements through testing, implementation and completion evidence.
