Summary: The Senior Business Analyst role is a strategic position focused on enhancing middle and back office operations within the financial services sector. The analyst will lead process improvement initiatives, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and transition manual workflows to more efficient solutions. This position requires strong domain expertise and the ability to influence across business and technology teams. The role is hybrid, requiring four days on-site in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted bridge between business and technology teams across middle and back office functions
- Lead and facilitate workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings, driving clarity and alignment
- Document current-state processes and design future-state workflows and target operating models
- Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Support the transition from manual, Excel-based processes to more scalable and controlled solutions
- Produce high-quality visual documentation, including process flows, swimlanes, and workflow diagrams
- Work closely with stakeholders across London, Bermuda, and Nashville, accommodating multiple time zones
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within middle and/or back office functions in financial services
- Strong understanding of cash management, collateral management, cash movements and approvals, and related operational processes
- Experience working in environments with manual or Excel-heavy workflows and leading initiatives to improve them
- Strong capability in process mapping, workflow design, and target operating model definition
- Comfortable working in Agile or hybrid environments with lean documentation
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Tenacious, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused
- Able to take end-to-end ownership and drive momentum independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working across cultures and geographies
- Background working with bespoke or in-house systems
