Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering transformational change within a financial services context, focusing on the development of a new savings platform. This position requires leading business analysis activities throughout the full project lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role is remote with occasional travel to the Glasgow office and is designed for an experienced professional passionate about driving impactful change. The contract is for 12 months and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Analysis activities across one or more project streams, managing requirements throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and support to fellow BAs, offering peer reviews, guidance, and recommending best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and managing expectations while keeping projects on track.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings, sparking debate and gathering detailed requirements.
  • Develop detailed process maps, Target Operating Models (TOMs), and support models.
  • Ensure requirement traceability through Design, Build, Testing, and Implementation phases.
  • Identify and assess the impact of change on each business unit, supporting readiness activities including training, collateral, and communications.
  • Proactively contribute to planning, progress updates, and risk/issue management.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior BA, leading end-to-end project lifecycle activities in large-scale programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills – influencing, engaging, and challenging to drive the right outcomes.
  • Expertise with Jira, Miro, and Visio for documenting and managing requirements.
  • Skilled in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed process maps.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and working groups, driving discussions and ensuring outcomes.
  • Ability to manage and buddy up with other BAs, providing support and guidance.
  • Experience working in Waterfall development environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Business Analysis qualifications (e.g., BCS, IIBA).
  • Experience in Financial Services, particularly within banking, branches, or operational areas.
  • Familiarity with savings platforms or migration programmes.

Salary (Rate): 479
