Summary: FDM is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid role within the Insurance sector, based in either Edinburgh or Cheshire. The position involves shaping and delivering the client's Targeted Support initiative, focusing on early analysis and impact assessment of change items. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide early analysis support and impact assessment of new change items at the Digital front door stage.
  • Drive the process to define the problem/opportunity and scope.
  • Understand risks to delivery and perform benefit analysis.
  • Apply strategic thinking to the analysis output, understanding wider business impacts and dependencies.
  • Join the dots across the Digital delivery landscape.
  • High-level planning for change delivery including estimation of analysis support.
  • Drive the change, providing on-the-spot support for squad BAs to maintain delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst delivering end-to-end analysis across complex change programmes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Expert in analysis techniques throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proven Agile experience in fast-paced, iterative delivery environments.
  • Digital change experience preferred, particularly within customer-facing or integrated system journeys.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.

FDM is a global business business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Edinburgh or Cheshire. This role offers the chance to play a key role in shaping and delivering our client's Targeted Support initiative, focused on ISA and Lump Sum Guidance. The project involves providing early analysis and impact assessment of new change items, defining problems and opportunities, and applying strategic thinking to ensure alignment across the digital delivery landscape. The role also includes high-level planning for change delivery, supporting squad Business Analysts, and driving progress to maintain momentum and achieve timely delivery.

About You

Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst delivering end-to-end analysis across complex change programmes. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to quickly build strong relationships across digital squads, internal BAs, and stakeholders at all levels. Expert in analysis techniques throughout the full project lifecycle, with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities. Proven Agile experience, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, iterative delivery environments. Digital change experience preferred, particularly within customer-facing or integrated system journeys. Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills to support delivery within tight timelines.
