Summary: The customer is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering for their P3M transformation in capital projects. This role demands extensive P3M experience and involves collaboration with business stakeholders to validate and finalize requirements. The analyst will also engage in process mapping, analysis, and documentation to align operational models with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading requirement gathering workshops and interviews with business users and preparing requirements catalogue.
- Mapping business processes to Level 2 and Level 3 detail using industry-standard modelling techniques like MS Visio BPMN.
- Documenting current ("As-Is") workflows and designing improved ("To-Be") target operating models.
- Developing and maintaining business capability reference models, mapping capability functionality to other architectural artefacts.
- Facilitating workshops with SME stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and validate requirements.
- Investigating business problems using root cause analysis to recommend process improvements.
- Performing gap analysis to identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and risks between current and future states.
- Preparing process documentation, functional specifications, and business requirements documents (BRDs).
Key Skills:
- 10+ years in a business analyst role with a focus on process design, process optimization, or business architecture.
- Proficient in modelling tools like MS Visio or Blueworks Live.
- Deep understanding of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
- Strong analytical skills to analyse complex data sets and translate them into process maps.
- Experience in capital asset management and capital delivery process.
- Industry experience in the water industry and regulated industry in the UK.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera or equivalent products.
