Senior Business Analyst

Summary: The role of Senior Business Analyst involves gathering requirements and evaluating solutions for key scopes within a 9-month PAYE contract. The position requires a strong background in Data Analysis and Reporting specifically within the Oil & Gas sector, with a focus on Environmental and Risk areas. The candidate will drive the delivery of project scopes and engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure progress. A methodical approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements for key scopes and evaluate suitable marketplace solutions.
• Drive delivery of required scopes to ensure tangible progress.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Perform analysis related to Barrier Management, Cumulative Risk, and Environmental reporting.
• Utilize business intelligence and reporting skills to support project objectives.
• Identify gaps in information and devise solutions to address them.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the role.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in a similar business systems role.
• Demonstrable experience in Data Analysis and Reporting within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Excellent business and technical analysis skills.
• Project Management certification or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Desirable skills in Business Intelligence and SQL query/reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A methodical and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries and with diverse teams.
