Summary: This role is for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in mortgages and credit risk, tasked with leading a high-profile transformation program. The position is hybrid, requiring two days a month in the North West England office, and is offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape their impact from the outset, focusing on complex mortgage servicing and origination initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering for complex mortgage servicing and origination initiatives (both residential and commercial)
- Own analysis across a range of projects, with an immediate focus on credit risk profiling, risk/rating systems and journey design
- Champion the Change Management Framework, ensuring rigour and best practice across the life cycle
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a BA within financial services, ideally across multiple mortgage projects
- Deep understanding of mortgage life cycle is essential - origination, servicing, account opening
- Proven work on credit risk or risk-related initiatives (eg ratings, profiling, decision systems)
- Skilled in working alongside Product Owners, PMs, and cross-functional tech teams
- Comfortable with tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and even MS Whiteboard for mapping journeys
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities and working effectively within cross-functional teams.
