We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major AI transformation programme within a financial services environment.
This is an opportunity to work on the next phase of an enterprise AI programme focused on creating the technical and business foundations required to scale AI and Agentic AI across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders, Product, Technology and Data teams to translate complex business processes into requirements for AI-enabled solutions.
The role goes significantly beyond traditional business analysis. You will help define how increasingly autonomous AI solutions interact with business processes, where human oversight is required and how appropriate controls, escalation routes and validation mechanisms should operate.
Key responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation across complex AI-enabled initiatives.
- Define AI use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable business outcomes.
- Map As-Is and To-Be business processes and identify opportunities for AI-enabled transformation.
- Break complex human workflows into logical and measurable sequences that can be executed by AI agents.
- Define human-in-the-loop requirements, decision thresholds, trigger points, escalation routes and override mechanisms.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Technology teams, Data specialists and delivery teams.
- Identify delivery risks, issues and dependencies and contribute to appropriate mitigation.
- Translate policy, governance, risk and control requirements into practical business and technology requirements.
- Contribute to responsible AI requirements covering transparency, validation, fairness, bias and potential customer or societal harms.
- Support the design of appropriate guardrails for AI-enabled and increasingly autonomous decision making.
What we're looking for
- Strong end-to-end Business Analysis experience within complex programmes.
- Excellent requirements elicitation, process modelling and workshop facilitation skills.
- Strong As-Is/To-Be process analysis capability.
- Experience translating business requirements into clear functional outcomes.
- Confidence challenging senior SMEs and operating in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
- Experience supporting requirements, design and testing activities.
- Strong stakeholder management across both business and technical audiences.
- Experience translating policies, standards or controls into processes and technical requirements.
- Financial services, regulatory or similarly complex industry experience is highly desirable.
Experience delivering AI, Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions would be particularly valuable. We are especially interested in candidates with experience of AI use cases, responsible AI, AI governance, human-in-the-loop controls, validation, guardrails, fairness or bias mitigation. This would suit a Senior BA who combines excellent traditional Business Analysis fundamentals with genuine experience of emerging AI technology and wants to work on a programme shaping how Agentic AI can be implemented safely within a regulated organisation.
