Summary: The Senior Billing Data Analyst role at DHL involves enhancing billing processes through automation and data cleansing. The position requires a deep understanding of billing and automation, with responsibilities including process analysis, field mapping, and developing macros in Excel. The analyst will collaborate with finance specialists to optimize data handling and support training for users. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Bristol, requiring on-site presence for three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and document current data cleansing processes, including Visio process flows and Excel files.
- Attend workshops with process owners to identify gaps in process flows.
- Map fields from raw data input files into standardized data templates.
- Develop macros in Excel to automate data cleansing and transformation processes.
- Derive data cleansing rules based on transformation processes for technical implementation.
- Reconcile processing in Excel and automation tools using sample data.
- Support training for users on field mapping and pre-processing rules.
- Provide regular status reports to the Billing Automation project lead.
- Review and support the creation of Billing SOPs.
- Assist in billing process review workshops to assess and optimize process flows.
- Support the implementation of new billing standards.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge and experience in process analysis, optimization, and documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- Experience with data mapping and large-scale data reconciliation activities.
- Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of MS Excel.
- Experience with data analyses.
- Preferred experience in Customer-Billing.
- Preferred finance qualification.
