Summary: The Senior AWS Administrator role requires an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer with 6 to 10 years of expertise in AWS technologies and system administration. The position involves deploying, troubleshooting, and managing AWS services while ensuring security and operational continuity. The candidate will also define cloud-based solution architectures and monitor system performance using various tools. This contract position is based in Telford, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and troubleshoot AWS Cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Administer AWS services including AWS Connect, AWS Lambda, and AWS Databases.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AWS cloud-based systems for availability and performance.
  • Define and implement AWS cloud-based solution architectures.
  • Utilize automation tools such as AWS Cloud Formation and Terraform.
  • Maintain cloud network configurations and diagrams.
  • Assist with upgrading and configuring monitoring solutions for AWS services.
  • Report on current infrastructure status and plan for future usage.

Key Skills:

  • 6-10 years of experience in AWS cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud system engineering principles.
  • Experience with PowerShell and troubleshooting PowerShell ISE.
  • Knowledge of IT security risks and AWS security services.
  • Experience in Windows and Linux system administration.

Job Description – AWS Senior Admin

  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure engineer with 6 – 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (specifically AWS), including enterprise or hosting provider services SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud system engineering principles and considerations
  • Experience with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow, and troubleshooting PowerShell ISE
  • Knowledge of IT security risks
  • Experience in AWS Cloud deployment and troubleshooting
  • Experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Background with Active Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
  • Experience administering AWS Services: AWS Connect, AWS Lambda, AWS Databases, AWS S3, AWS Key Management Service, Direct Connect, EC2, VPC etc.
  • Proficient with AWS Security services and AWS Cloudwatch: Network, Application, Infrastructure.
  • Excellent knowledge of federated identity systems (Microsoft ADFS), multi-factor authentication and Microsoft AD Integration with Cloud Applications/Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
