Summary: We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer for a 12-month contract, requiring extensive experience in Typescript and automation, along with leadership skills. The role involves working on-site in Leeds three days a week. Candidates with non-functioning testing experience are also welcome to apply. The position emphasizes test planning, risk awareness, and the implementation of test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake test planning activity including discovery capture, test definition and the estimation of test effort as part of a broader risk-based approach.
  • Identify and raise awareness of risks arising from the automation test results.
  • Identify new and implement existing test frameworks to improve confidence in testing.
  • Be proficient in a range of coding languages.
  • Advise other team members in testing practices.

  • Design and execute a wide range of functional and non-functional testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions on the environment for testing.
  • Identify defects, alerting the business to them, and help prioritise them based on defect severity.
  • Working knowledge of different tools and techniques and ability to train others and advise on testing techniques and frameworks.
  • Ability to think creatively, ask the right questions and critically evaluate and communicate findings to a larger team.
  • Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Automation Test Engineers to work a 12-month contract for our client 3 days per week on-site in Leeds. We are seeking candidates with extensive Typescript and automation (functioning) experience and demonstrable leadership skills in driving change (and so must have managed/led a team). We are also open to candidates with non-functioning testing experience - either performance or accessibility.

Description:
