Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue safety documentation, isolation, earthing, switching, and system reinstatement.
  • Coordinate operational and safety procedures with the grid operator.
  • Act as Safety Coordinator/Authorised Person for boundary operations.
  • Support the HV Control Room and oversee contractors.
  • Carry out equipment maintenance to manufacturer standards.
  • Assist operations management and OFTO reporting.
  • Maintain competence and ensure secure, efficient development of HV/LV and mechanical systems.

Key Skills:

  • HV Authorised Person certified up to 66 kV.
  • Completed Electrician Apprenticeship.

  • Physically fit with the ability to climb as required.

Shirley Parsons have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – 66 kV, to support HV operations within a leading offshore wind farm environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing HV & Transmission Systems team, delivering safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations across substations, turbines, and the wider network.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform HV switching operations, 66 kV turbine maintenance, and provide SAP coverage across substations.
  • Safely operate and manage the HV/LV network, including issuing safety documentation, isolation, earthing, switching, and system reinstatement.
  • Coordinate operational and safety procedures with the grid operator and act as Safety Coordinator/Authorised Person for boundary operations.
  • Support the HV Control Room, oversee contractors, and carry out equipment maintenance to manufacturer standards.
