Summary: The Senior Authorised Person / Permit Officer role involves overseeing safety and compliance in the construction and commissioning of an Open Cycle Gas Turbine project in Suffolk. The position requires ensuring HSEQ requirements are met, managing high voltage switching operations, and coordinating permits for safe work. This role is critical for maintaining safety standards and liaising with various stakeholders throughout the project. The position offers a competitive day rate and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incorporate relevant HSEQ requirements into the area of responsibility.
• Ensure safety precautions are taken during construction and commissioning work.
• Oversee installation and energisation of HV (33Kv) and LV switching equipment.
• Manage switching operations on HV and LV switch gear and boards.
• Lead the log-out / Tag-out office and coordinate all permits for safe work.
• Liaise with the District Network Operator (DNO) and Independent Connection Party (ICP).
• Participate in site meetings and collaborate with the Commissioning team on the testing program.
