Summary: The Senior Android Engineer role involves working within a cross-functional Agile development team to develop customer-facing projects, primarily focusing on Android development using Kotlin and Java. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java within an Agile team.
  • Collaborate with Android and iOS engineers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, Designers, and User Experience specialists.
  • Provide technical assurance on complex IT projects and shape new project approaches.
  • Support the professional development of less experienced software engineers.
  • Maintain excellent communication with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve engineering skills and stay updated with the latest technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Native Mobile Development in Android (Kotlin and Java).
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in REST API development and/or consumption.
  • Deep understanding of MVVM and MVP architectural patterns.
  • Desirable: Experience with Postman, Charles/Proxyman, Bitrise/Gitlab CI, Swift/iOS, GraphQL, Microservice Architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Understanding of UX principles and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries).
