Job Title: Interim AI Manager, Innovation (6 months) - Payments
Our client, a leading payment company, requires an experienced hands-on AI Manager/Leader who can walk in, find the highest-leverage problems in a payments business, and ship AI tools that fix them - in weeks, not quarters.
This is a 6-month interim role for a genuine AI leader: someone from Meta, Amazon, Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude AI or an equally fast-moving AI-native company, who can review all AI products in the market and bring innovative AI solutions and Ideas to the business to improve business performance and profitability.
What you'll do:
- Have the autonomy to review all AI products in the market, use them, prototype and provide constant innovative ideas across all parts of the payments business across customer service, operations, fraud, reconciliation, and engineering.
- Get 2-3 of them live, with real before/after numbers
- Bring ideas from outside of the payments sector that nobody in payments has thought of yet, because you've seen how the best AI teams in the world actually work.
- Report straight to the Global AI Lead - no committees, no sign-off theatre.
What we're looking for:
- Real AI hands on lead experience at a top-tier tech or frontier AI company (or equivalent)
- You can code, call an LLM API, build an agent, and get it working yourself
- A portfolio of ideas that came from thinking differently that would bring value to the business.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to bureaucracy, motivated by shipping
- Clear, precise communication skills.
