Summary: The Senior Agile Delivery Manager is a technical leader responsible for the hands-on delivery of software within a modern engineering environment, engaging directly with engineering teams. A minimum of 60% office attendance is required, with locations in Newcastle, Leeds, or Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Scrum Master / Delivery Manager for software engineering teams on a day-to-day basis.
  • Lead high-impact sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Actively remove blockers, manage scope, and maintain delivery momentum across sustained periods of active build.
  • Work alongside developers, testers, and DevOps engineers to manage modern software engineering lifecycles.
  • Confidently engage in discussions regarding technical trade-offs, resilience, security, and recoverability.
  • Drive delivery within environments utilizing CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud-native services.
  • Challenge and guide senior technical and non-technical stakeholders using evidence-based reporting.
  • Build trust through consistent performance metrics and radical transparency regarding delivery health.
  • Complete delivery-related governance and change activity (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Refine prioritized backlogs in partnership with Product Managers and Technical Leads.
  • Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and complex risks.
  • Utilize Jira effectively for tracking and reporting at both the team and initiative level.
