Summary: The Senior Agile Business Analyst role involves leading the discovery phase of a global intranet project within a dynamic Projects Department. The successful candidate will engage with senior stakeholders and technical SMEs to ensure alignment with strategic goals while conducting thorough business requirements analysis. Responsibilities include evaluating current processes, leading workshops, and synthesizing findings into a comprehensive business case. This position offers a contract rate of up to £525 per day and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of current state including existing intranet features, content, pain points, and dependencies (usability & technical view).
  • Outline of future state including target features, integrations, security, and compliance considerations.
  • Observe and analyse current work practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with the business to identify the various personas that need to be explored due to the diversity of the client.
  • Apply appropriate modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards as required to understand the business.
  • Identify and help specify appropriate visual management, where its introduction will help improve process efficiency and client experience.
  • Interact with front line staff with confidence, building rapport quickly and fostering trust.
  • Comfortably interact with senior stakeholders, concisely sharing findings and overview of changes and benefits forecast.
  • Support the business in the initial translation of business outcomes into potential technology solutions options.
  • Lead requirements workshops, user story reviews and process / solution walkthroughs.
  • Ability to elicit, capture, analyse and synthesise business requirements, including recognising patterns and conceptualising complex processes.
  • Define and document refined user needs, functional and non-functional requirements (collaborating with business leads).
  • Ability to write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria which are understandable by both business and technical stakeholders and ensure you have envisaged how they may be tested.
  • Extensive stakeholder experiences ranging from front line staff through to senior leadership, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Pragmatic decision making and situation appropriate assertiveness, to proactively challenge and negotiate the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with in-house and outsource development / delivery providers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to present effectively to different groups including varying content and tone as needed to land the right message.
  • Application of appropriate modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards as required to understand the business.
