Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate early contractor involvement activities, contributing to efficient and cost-effective design and construction solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders and design teams to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and implement detailed construction test plans to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and review testing progress, providing guidance and support to the site team.
  • Prepare and approve detailed lifting plans, ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the lifting team and Appointed Persons to guarantee safe and efficient lifting operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring adherence to program schedules, budgets, and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of works.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a senior role on large infrastructure or highways schemes.
  • Strong expertise in ECI works, CTPs, and lifting operations.
  • A valid Lifting Appointed Person qualification (or willingness to attain).
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and site management tools.
