Summary: The Senior Actuary role focuses on the pricing, analysis, and performance monitoring of Lifetime Mortgage products within a UK financial services organization. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure robust actuarial models and support product management initiatives. The successful candidate will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of innovative retirement products. This is a hybrid role on a 6-12 month contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pricing and performance analysis of Lifetime Mortgage products.
  • Develop and enhance actuarial models and tools used across Retail Pricing.
  • Produce regular pricing MI and reporting for internal stakeholders and external funders.
  • Support product reviews, ad-hoc actuarial queries, and customer pricing exceptions.
  • Collaborate with proposition, finance, and risk teams to align pricing with business objectives.
  • Coach and mentor junior actuarial team members.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified (FIA/FFA) or nearly qualified actuary with 5+ years’ experience in life insurance.
  • Proven Lifetime Mortgage / Equity Release pricing experience.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel/VBA, with experience building and maintaining pricing models.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Senior Actuary – Retail (Lifetime Mortgages / Equity Release) London (Hybrid) | 6–12 Month Contract

An established UK financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Actuary to join its Retail Actuarial function on an interim basis. The role will focus on the pricing, analysis, and performance monitoring of Lifetime Mortgage (LTM) products, ensuring models and assumptions are robust and commercially aligned. You’ll also provide actuarial expertise to product and finance teams, supporting new initiatives and ongoing product management.
