Summary: Join a leading insurance company as a Senior Actuary focused on Pricing & Proposition, where you will support the Head of Pricing in actuarial modelling and reporting for Employee Benefits and Individual Protection. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, mentoring actuarial students, and driving innovation in financial modelling and product development. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence up to twice a week, and offers a daily rate of £700 inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support actuarial pricing, modelling, and reporting activities
- Develop and maintain pricing, reporting, and quote models
- Ensure accurate reflection of reinsurance arrangements and capital calculations
- Collaborate with Global Employee Benefits, EMEA, and internal teams
- Contribute to product development through financial metrics, experience analysis, and market research
- Manage product approval documentation and ensure customer-centric actuarial processes
- Support BAU activities including product monitoring, reporting, and Pricing Forum coordination
Key Skills:
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with post-qualification experience
- Strong technical skills in MS Office, especially Excel VBA
- Commercial and strategic mindset with UK protection market experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ownership of high-quality deliverables
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills across stakeholder groups
- Experience in mentoring and coaching actuarial students
- Preferred: Knowledge of Python, Alteryx, SQL, Access, and other quantitative tools
