Summary: The Senior Actuarial Analyst at SiriusPoint will be integral to the Actuarial team within the Life, Accident & Health P&L, focusing on actuarial pricing activities and supporting underwriters. The role encompasses a variety of technical responsibilities, including monitoring underwriting performance and assisting in business planning. The position requires strong analytical skills and effective communication to develop pricing solutions that align with financial objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of the portfolio through detailed analysis and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct case pricing of contracts based on materiality thresholds or as referred by Underwriters.
- Help identify and develop models to rate business, considering profitability and cost of capital targets.
- Implement Pricing Policy across the Accident & Health portfolio.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of technical rating solutions that meet financial objectives.
- Ensure completion of Actuarial Review Templates.
- Participate in client discussions to assist in developing suitable pricing solutions.
- Manage the portfolio through appropriate analysis, including monitoring technical price vs actual price and performance against business plans.
- Assist with business planning and internal capital modelling processes for the Accident & Health portfolio.

Join Our Team You will be a Senior Actuarial Analyst , part of the Actuarial team of the Life, Accident & Health P&L at SiriusPoint. The role will predominantly involve actuarial pricing activities, supporting the Underwriters’ delivery to the client. Other responsibilities are across a wide range of technical aspects; monitoring of underwriting performance, analysing the portfolio, monitoring exposures and assisting in the formulation of the business plan.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Conduct case pricing of contracts, given materiality thresholds or as referred by Underwriters
- Help identify and develop models to rate business, taking into account profitability and cost of capital targets
- Implement Pricing Policy across the Accident & Health portfolio
- Facilitate the development and implementation of technical rating solutions that satisfy the agreed financial objectives: Ensuring an effective pricing control cycle (which includes the continual performance analysis, development of pricing proposals through to impact analysis following implementation)
- Ensure the completion of Actuarial Review Templates
- Take part in client discussions in order to assist in developing suitable pricing solutions
- Assist in the management of the portfolio by performing appropriate analysis, such as: monitoring of differences between technical price and actual price monitoring of performance against business plan including adequacy of rate change monitoring of emerging reserving trends and impact on the portfolio monitoring of key exposures
- Assist with the business planning and internal capital modelling processes in respect of the Accident & Health portfolio
Your Skills And Abilities Should Include
- Good communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and good commercial awareness
- Highly proficient in mathematics/statistics including a detailed understanding of using actuarial pricing tools and techniques
- Highly computer literate with strong IT skills particularly with Microsoft Office & Excel as well as coding background e.g. VBA, R, SQL, Python etc
- Strong knowledge of general insurance and reinsurance and of key industry issues/challenges
- Ability to communicate complex issues and their implications both orally and written
- Ability to plan effectively, organise and prioritise workload
- Ability to work as a team – often across functions
