Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the wind noise attribute within the manufacturing environment, acting as the voice of the customer.
- Monitor and assess wind noise performance through:
- Objective measurements
- Subjective drive assessments
- Static evaluations
- Build conformance checks
- Conduct initial root cause investigations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
- Liaise with the core aeroacoustics team to understand critical attribute characteristics of upcoming vehicle launches and ongoing quality actions.
Key Skills:
- Experience in an automotive production plant quality or engineering role.
- Proficiency in engineering problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
- Full UK driving licence with the ability to perform subjective vehicle assessments.
- Familiarity with plant attributes such as:
- Squeak & Rattle (S&R)
- Wind Noise
- Water Testing
- NVH development and measurement
- Vehicle testing and assessment
- Automotive component development
