Summary: SFI is looking for a Senior Accountant / Project Financial Analyst to join their finance team, requiring expertise in accounting and finance, particularly in cost analysis and project financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly program financials, update forecasts, and accurately reconcile billed invoices versus contracts.
  • Perform month-end AP & AR reconciliation and provide support for the year-end financial audit.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and CAS.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, with internal teams and external partners.
  • Take on additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Sr. VP of Finance.
  • Understand and navigate federal contracting processes, including compliance with federal financial management regulations and standards.
  • Manage and report on federal contracts, ensuring alignment with federal requirements and guidelines.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on working experience in Project financial analysis or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting, and familiarity with CAS.
  • Experience with federal contracting and federal finance management is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

This position requires a deep understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Experience in federal contracting and familiarity with the regulatory requirements of federal finance management will be considered a significant asset.
