Senior Accountant

Summary: The Senior Accountant role involves supporting the Capital Finance Team within a centralized Financial team, focusing on cost management, budget review, and financial record maintenance. The position requires strong capital experience and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders while innovating working methods. The role also includes supervising junior colleagues and ensuring compliance with financial standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside other Finance professionals to deliver effective cost management and budget review.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with finance colleagues and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate financial records on the general ledger and supporting systems.
• Develop and maintain financial monitoring systems.
• Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial information for accounts and reports.
• Support, advise, direct, coach, and supervise junior colleagues.

Key Skills:

• Proven track record in finance roles with a focus on delivering results.
• Significant accounting and commercial experience, including funding models and budgeting.
• Experience in business partnering across finance and non-finance teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of digital skills, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Awareness of relevant legislation and service policies.
• Ability to work independently within policy guidelines.
