Summary: The role of Senior Accountant involves overseeing the accuracy of financial statements for a leading global manufacturing company. This temporary position, lasting 6 to 9 months, offers hybrid working arrangements and an hourly rate of up to £33. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, compliance analysis, and process improvement within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and full financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets.
- Perform detailed analysis of the chart of accounts and respond to inquiries from management and internal/external auditors, including Sarbanes-Oxley groups.
- Regularly review internal controls and recommend "best practice" accounting procedures to improve current operations.
Key Skills:
- Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant.
- Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing, inventory accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and the ability to record and report transactions accurately and timely.

We are partnering with a leading global manufacturing company in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a 6 to 9 months temporary role based in Daventry offering hybrid working and an hourly rate of up to £33 per hour via PAYE for the right candidate.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accuracy of the department's financial statements. You will identify unusual variances and maintain the organisation's value through strict confidentiality and robust internal controls. You will also be responsible for:
Financial Reporting: Prepare general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and full financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets.
Analysis & Compliance: Perform detailed analysis of the chart of accounts and respond to inquiries from management and internal/external auditors, including Sarbanes-Oxley groups.
