Summary: The Senior Financial Accountant role in Birmingham involves leading a small finance team while providing operational support and ensuring high standards in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the Finance team, lead, motivate and inspire the junior team to reach the next level of performance.
- Monitor and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and that team members are accountable for their work to high standards.
- Provide operational support to the finance team and wider business, assisting the Group Accountant with statutory reporting and group audit.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team on non-business as usual project work.
Key Skills:
- ACA Qualified or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
- Previous experience in a fast-growing, international business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Experience in optimizing finance processes to improve efficiency and controls.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge others.
- Resilient and able to cope with high levels of change.
- Experience working with enterprise accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
