Summary: The Senior Accountant role at a large oil service company in Aberdeen involves delivering accurate financial reporting for UK entities and providing financial information to management for decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with statutory accounts and audit process for the UK legal entities.
- Resolve queries internally which may arise.
- Assist with monthly management reporting and forecasts in group consolidation systems.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance regarding IFRS and group accounting standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with new accounting standards.
- Prepare and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of impairment indicators and analysis.
- Perform any other tasks determined by management.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA) or qualified by experience.
- Strong technical skills and proven track record.
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency using SAP and advanced Excel skills.
