Summary: The Senior Account Executive at Sofar will spearhead the expansion of the company's global presence by driving sales of the Wayfinder Optimization Engine in the European market. This role involves building relationships with high-level decision-makers, managing the sales process, and collaborating with internal teams to align solutions with market demands. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software sales, particularly within maritime or environmental tech sectors, and a strong network in the Northern European market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the European market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-level decision-makers, influencers, and partners.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Understand client needs deeply and position Wayfinder’s unique value proposition effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (customer success, marketing, engineering) to align solutions with market demand and customer requirements.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with and manage channel sales partners to develop business in new regions.
  • Represent Sofar at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities in the region.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in software sales, preferably in maritime, environmental tech, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the Northern European market and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong C-suite network in the maritime shipping industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline, with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend events.
