Summary: Quantum Scholars is seeking experienced SEND tutors and qualified SEN teachers to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) in Hillingdon. The role involves delivering personalized support to students with additional needs, helping them re-engage with learning in a flexible, part-time capacity. Tutors will plan and prepare lessons tailored to individual pupils, typically conducting sessions in the pupils' homes or community settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils outside of mainstream school
- Plan and prepare lessons and resources tailored to each pupil's learning needs
- Conduct sessions typically in the pupil's home or suitable community settings
- Work flexible, part-time hours to fit around your schedule
- Support pupils with additional needs such as SEND, SEMH, Autism, and ADHD
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Key Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person tutoring sessions

As an established provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, Quantum Scholars supports pupils who are currently out of mainstream education. Many of the young people we work with have additional needs such as SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs, and require personalised support to help them re-engage with learning.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored tuition that helps rebuild their confidence, develop key skills, and support their journey back into education. Sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or within a suitable community setting, and tutors are responsible for planning and preparing lessons and resources to support each pupil's learning.
