Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people undergoing statutory EHC needs assessments
  • Coordinate the EHCP process in line with the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEN Code of Practice
  • Liaise closely with schools, health, social care and families to ensure holistic and high-quality plans
  • Represent the Local Authority at annual reviews, multi-agency meetings and transition planning forums
  • Provide informed advice and guidance to parents, carers and professionals on SEND legislation and processes
  • Support with funding and commissioning decisions to ensure cost-effective provision

Key Skills:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in SEND, Education or Social Care
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHC legislation and related statutory frameworks
  • Experience of managing statutory EHCP processes and casework
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with families and multi-agency teams
