Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEND in classroom settings.
  • Assist with daily, short-term, and long-term supply needs in schools.
  • Build strong relationships with students to understand their individual needs.
  • Provide 1:1 support or work with small groups of students.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements, including obtaining enhanced DBS checks.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, including Autism, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, EBD, and ADD.
  • Relevant qualifications for specific roles (e.g., QTS for teachers, Level 2/3 for teaching assistants).
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Encouraging and supportive personality.
  • Ability to inspire and engage young learners.
  • Experience in early years education for nursery assistants.
