Summary: The Catch Up Academy is seeking dedicated Tutors to provide 1:1 support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Tutors will deliver tailored lessons, adapt teaching methods, and collaborate with class teachers to create personalized lesson plans. The role offers flexible hours and a supportive environment to foster student growth. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience in special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing specialized tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other additional educational needs.
• Engaging students referred by local authorities and schools, offering holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Committing to the hours required with a flexible approach to meet the needs of each student.
• Delivering core curriculum lessons online or in-person, tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Continuously assessing and adapting teaching methods to suit the student's abilities.
• Collaborating with class teachers to design and implement personalized lesson plans.

Key Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a relevant degree, or significant experience.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and excellent subject knowledge.
• Confidence in managing student behaviour effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other additional educational needs.
